Again?

And I've started another one. Another novel, that is. It's a sequel to the comic fantasy one I've just written but haven't yet sold, which is possibly getting rather ahead of myself. Nevertheless, the first three thousand words or so are down as of yesterday, so here we go again.

oh, but this is a joyous moment regardless. beginnings always are. savor it :) it'll help in the drier months when nothing seems to come easy.

But it might be nice occasionally if the things that came easily were the ones I was supposed to be doing, like my PhD.

Comic Fantasy? Interesting - can't wait!

I forget, what is your PhD about again?

The PhD is a comparative study of the minster chapters (that is, groups of priests supported by livings called prebends) of Beverley, Ripon and Southwell between 1066 and approximately 1300. It's all about administrative reform, and the sort of survival strategies employed by these smaller, non-monastic religious institutions in the period immediately after the Norman Conquest.
